A learning rich environment
Language rich program- Long before children read, they are immersed in language activities that lead to a lifelong appreciation and respect for the power and beauty of language. Phonemic awareness is an integral part of our language program. Language is a vital part of every interaction, every aspect of curriculum, and every day. Our language program engages children in a continuum of language experiences that challenge their emerging skills and knowledge. Our teachers are trained to be alert for opportunities to extend the child’s ideas and interests into opportunities to read, write, speak or listen.
Science + technology
Science comes alive by taking advantage of a child’s experience with science in daily life: the physics of falling blocks, the chemistry of mixing paint or frost on the windows, or the biology of growing plants and caring for animals. Our science program includes special learning centers projects activities and guidelines for teacher interactions that stimulate a child’s problem solving skills. We encourage children to observe, question, experiment and reflect. Activities include raising butterflies and frogs to measuring rainfall or shadows, growing and weighing a crop of beans or sunflowers, to timing the evaporation of a wet footprint.
Math their way
Our program includes an emphasis on developing a solid foundation in mathematical skills and reasoning. Children learn number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, serrations, ordination, and other fundamental math skills.
THE ARTS
Our program recognizes that young children can develop an appreciation of art, music, theater and dance early on. Preschoolers can take first steps toward developing their own artistic capabilities. We seek to uncover the child’s unique talents to both appreciate and express artistic vision.
Transportation Provided to & from Schools
When school is in and out for the day, Kinder Academy provides transportation to and from a selection of local schools, from door to door.
Break Time Care for School-Age Kids
When school is out, we are your solution for quality care! We also offer full-day care during Winter, Spring and Summer Breaks. In addition, field trips are scheduled during these breaks to ensure that a variety of fun and engaging activities are offered.
